Experience in a varied tax or corporate tax role is required. Proven compliance experience is essential. Backgrounds from large, mid-tier, or smaller firms are welcome, provided you have relevant exposure. About Your New Role Always: Oversee and manage a portfolio of clients. Handle financial management of your portfolio, including creating realistic budgets, monitoring project costs, identifying variances, and implementing corrective measures as needed. Plan, monitor, and review all work within the group, and occasionally deputise for senior colleagues, up to and including Partner level. Often: Liaise with HMRC, Tax Council, and other professional staff as appropriate. Provide support to colleagues on technical issues and ensure high-quality work delivery. Occasionally: Ensure adherence to the firms quality control procedures, including second partner reviews where appropriate. Participate in office marketing events and stay informed about the firms full range of services. Never: Engage in activities unrelated to your professional responsibilities, such as demolition derbies.
