Weare looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Practice Nurse tojoin our friendly and supportive team.
Ideally,we are looking for someone who has experience in Primary Care and who istrained in dealing with Chronic Disease Management, Cervical Screening andChildhood Immunisations.
Wehave an excellent clinical team and dedicated administrators and receptionists.Our current list size is just over 11,300 patients and we are a SystemOnepractice.
Weare looking to cover approx. 30hrs but would be willing to consider full orpart-time.
Salaryis negotiable and depending on experience.
Main duties of the job
1. Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by GPs/Nurse Manager
2. Cytology
3. Wound care / ulcer care/Doppler
4. Removal of Sutures
5. Urinalysis
6. Travel Clinic
7. ECGs
8. Chronic disease management in line with QOF requirements
9. Venepuncture
10. Hypertension Management
11. Ear syringing
12. Routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations
13. Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician
14. Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs
15. Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to GPs as appropriate
16. Other tasks will include
17. Maintaining GP and Nurses rooms, stocking and rotating items as required
18. Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms
19. Ordering of Health Promotion Literature
20. Ordering of stock
21. Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels
22. Participation in administrative systems in the Practice
23. At all times there will be a need to maintain accurate records
24. A duty to advise the Practice Manager of potential problems or errors within the range of assigned tasks
25. Attend and participate in any Practice meetings when required.
26. On occasion there may be a requirement to undertake home visits
27. Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post

Job Summary:

Qualifications
Essential
79. GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
80. Registered Nurse with Active Registration
Desirable
81. Qualified in Chronic Diseases (Diabetes, Asthma, COPD)
Experience
