We are recruiting on behalf of a leading company in the UK, and they are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team in Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire. If you have a strong background in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, and are looking for a new challenge, this is the role for you. Our client is seeking a proactive individual to play a key role in supporting the finance team, driving process improvements, and ensuring the financial integrity of the business. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts, including journal preparation, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, ensuring timetables are met and reconciled outputs are submitted on time. Monitor cash flow by reconciling daily bank platforms with SAP and posting all cash transactions. Oversee vendor payment runs, ensuring smooth execution of payments. Manage customer overdues and liaise with business partners to resolve issues. Approve new vendors and customers, including credit and insurance limits assessments. Manage the fixed asset register on SAP and ensure accurate reporting. Support statutory accounts preparation and facilitate the annual external audit process. Act as the Internal Audit Control Owner for the finance function, ensuring monthly reconciliations and accurate audit reporting. Assist and deputise for the Financial Controller on various ad-hoc tasks and process improvement initiatives. What We’re Looking For: Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (essential) Experience: significant relevant management accounting experience Skills: Advanced Excel and experience with SAP ERP systems. Personal Attributes: Proactive, highly organised, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, with an eye for detail and a passion for improving processes.
