Job Description
Glasgow Life is looking for an Arts Producer to join us on a full-time permanent contract. As Arts Producer, you will be joining our in-demand Arts Music and Cultural Venues service and will be part of a dedicated team which supports our extensive Creative Communities programme.
As an Arts Producer, you’ll be joining our Glasgow Life Arts & Music team. We provide people with valuable and meaningful experiences through arts and music. Our high-quality services, world-class events, and festivals benefit the people of Glasgow. We help people experience the benefits of taking part in cultural programmes and events, contributing to Glasgow's visitor economy.
The role involves supporting and delivering various projects within the Creative Communities programme, reporting to the Senior Arts Producer and working alongside an established team.
The Candidate
If you’re interested in joining us as an Arts Producer, you’ll need:
1. Strong working knowledge of the arts and community sectors in Glasgow and Scotland
2. Good communication skills and an understanding of how to deal with internal and external stakeholders in an occasionally complex working environment
3. Strong project management skills with an ability to efficiently prioritise work to set and meet targets and deadlines
4. Ability to work within and manage delegated budgets
5. Strong IT competencies with a thorough working knowledge of key software packages

Some of our roles are currently piloting hybrid working, with teams working between the office and home. Your line manager will agree these days with you. This balance enables you to continue much-needed collaborative working.
This role is working 35 hours per week, with core hours between 9am and 5pm and with some weekend and evening work expected.
Important Dates: Closing date 26th January 2025 and interviews are provisionally scheduled for the week beginning 10th February.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
