About The Role:
The Workshop Technician is responsible to the Curriculum Manager for providing technical support and maintenance for the workshop facilities. Team working and communication with an overall approach that values people will be of key importance.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide technical support for the workshop, including setting up equipment and materials for practical sessions.
* Hold a current forklift licence, or be prepared to undertake the training.
* To maintain workshop tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working order and comply with health and safety regulations.
* To assist in the preparation and maintenance of teaching aids and resources.
* To support teaching staff and students during practical sessions, offering guidance and technical expertise.
* To manage stock levels and order materials as needed.
* To ensure the workshop area is kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
* Previous experience in a technical support role, preferably within an educational or workshop setting.
* Strong technical skills and knowledge of workshop equipment and tools.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently, with the minimum of supervision.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
