We are a small family run organisation currently comprising of three purpose built facilities all providing 24 Hour Residential Nursing Care for Younger Adults and Elderly:
Role Specification
* To deputies for the “person in charge” in his/her absence.
* To support senior members of staff in all aspects of the home’s management.
* To assist in the training of new care staff and the supervision of care staff.
Shifts are 19:45 - 08:00.
2 Posts: Post 1 Shift pattern: Week 1 - Mon/Tues - Sat/Sun Week 2 - Wed/Thus/Fri
Post 2 Shift Pattern: 7 nights on / 7 nights off
About The Role
Principal Duties
* To ensure care staff carries out their duties in a competent and efficient manner.
* To have a working knowledge of the home’s Health and Safety, Environmental Health regulations.
* To have work knowledge of the home’s Policies and Procedures.
* To assist residents with personal care in all activities of daily living.
* Helping the resident with physical and mental activity. This could involve talking to them, reading to them, taking them on day trips, writing on their behalf, assisting with their hobbies and recreation activities.
* To care for the dying.
* Assist with serving meals and other duties you are qualified and assigned to undertake.
* Ensuring care notes and any other form of written report that affects your work are read and kept up to date.
* Take part in staff meetings and training activities as required.
* To give medication and clinical care to residents as authorised and directed. (ONLY IF YOU HAVE BEEN TRAINED AND ARE CONFIDENT IN PERFORMING THESE DUTIES).

Any major variation to the key tasks will be subject of discussion and agreement between the post holder and the Manager.
Required Criteria
* Right to live and work in the UK
* Supervisory experience
* SVQ Level 2 in Adults and Social Care
Desired Criteria
* SVQ Level 3 in Adults and Social Care
