Supported by the HR Business Partners, you’ll work closely with university leaders, offering straightforward, impactful HR advice and support while building strong relationships across all levels. Skills and Qualifications Educated to RQF Level 3/ Foundation Level CIPD Qualification (A Level, Scottish Higher or equivalent) or equivalent experience. Previous experience in a relevant role dealing directly with HR administration and HR processes, ideally within a HR department. Operational experience managing employee relations issues in support of leaders in alignment with UK employment Law. Detailed understanding of HR principles and best practice, ensuring issues are escalated to HR Business Partners in more complex HR cases. Ability to assess and organise resources, and plan and progress work activities, projects using initiative and judgement. Skills to research collate and edit material for inclusion in reports/other documents. Well-developed analytical/problem-solving capability to perform detailed analysis of information and identify issues to support decision-making. Ability to think creatively when it comes to problem solving, identifying pragmatic and measured solutions that put colleagues and leaders at the heart of everything. Ability to provide detailed guidance, coaching, and instruction to develop the knowledge/skills of others i.e leaders and colleagues Knowledge of relevant IT packages, information systems and procedures, ability to adapt/transfer skills to use new technology and development and maintenance of websites e.g. Office 365. Professional approach to work and work with colleagues and an ability to work independently and show initiative. Awareness of Data Protection principles and the need for confidentiality in the role.
