About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
The role of Contract Baseline Library Manager is accountable for the day-to-day activities associated with the Contract Baseline Library management services at Sizewell C on behalf of the Project Delivery Organisation. The Contract Baseline Library Manager is principally responsible for the ongoing management and governance of SZC’s Contract Baseline Library.
The library, which is managed and controlled in Teamcenter, contains over 250 documents forming SZC’s generic contract requirements, standards and templates covering all facets of contractual obligations, constraints, management and execution associated with the appointment of a supply chain necessary to construct a nuclear power station in the UK. Key responsiblites will be:
1. Management, through governance and oversight, of the Contract Baseline Library within Teamcenter
2. Secretary of the Contract Baseline Library Change Board.
3. Supporting and facilitating the adoption of industry best practice and development of established requirements, processes and procedures
4. Providing a channel to the Functional Leads and Subject Matter Experts through which improvements and changes to the way we work can be raised and actioned
5. Providing feedback to process and procedure owners regarding performance and satisfaction of business needs
6. Sourcing commercial guidance and advice to contributors/authors of baseline contract documents
7. Seeking endorsement for stakeholder assessment and acceptance of changes to baseline documents from senior managers
8. Co-ordination of Change Requests with applicable stakeholders on the SZC project
9. Working closely with the SZC Legal Team for contract document changes
10. Providing support to document control in their management of the Universal Document Selection Tool (UDST)
11. Co-ordinating training of SZC resources on use of Teamcenter functions to build tender contract packs for Signature of Contract
Here's What You'll Need:
12. Educated to Degree level is beneficial but is not essential
13. Basic knowledge of NEC & FIDIC forms of contract is desirable
14. Familiar with the nuclear site licence conditions and the nuclear baseline philosophy
15. Understanding of the relationships on major projects between the client and key suppliers
16. Good understanding of the UK regulatory framework
17. Advanced level skills and knowledge of Teamcenter
18. Excellent communication skills able to convey complex systems and processes to novice users
19. Able to demonstrate a considerable track record of preparing and/or administering systems and processes
