Country Procurement Specialist

Role description:
The purpose of this role is to control and provide administrative support to the plants within the AGP UK Procurement process, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures to procure effectively, and to manage relationships that deliver the least cost solutions to minimize revenue costs for the business.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor SAP requisition release strategy process flow and complete order conversions; assist in process data cleansing and harmonization within SAP.
* Assign vendors based on maintained price files and support new vendor control and administration.
* Manage supplier order acknowledgements, negotiate, and oversee regional suppliers’ commercial contracts.
* Develop regional competitive sources of supply for goods and services, maintaining or improving quality standards.
* Represent the company in supplier management meetings to build relationships that prevent or resolve supplier issues effectively.
* Build relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth contract operations and optimized performance.
Required skills / qualifications:
* Good working knowledge of SAP is essential.
* Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a commercial environment.
* Knowledge of business practices and procedures.
* Self-motivation and ability to work within a small team.
* Commercial acumen.
* Attention to detail, data interrogation skills, and clear communication skills across stakeholders.
