Dean Close Preparatory School are looking to appoint a new Visiting Music Teacher, specialising in Cello, to start in September..
Dean Close Music Department is a warm and vibrant working environment, currently staffed by 25 Visiting Music Teachers and full and part-time staff. The department benefits from dedicated rooms for academic teaching and a large number of individual music tuition, rooms. The responsibilities of this include:
* Work with the Director of Music and Music Department Administrator to develop a timetable.
* Teach music lessons on a one-to-one basis, during the academic year.
* Enter pupils for external examinations, concerts, and other musical events where appropriate.
* Prepare pupils for external examinations.
* Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils as and when required by the School.
* Communicate and consult with the parents of pupils when required by the School.
This role would be ideal for a strong performer, with a proven track record of teaching students from beginner to a high standard in both primary and secondary schools as a teacher of brass
