Job Description:
We are Whitefield House, a residential, family-run care home offering long-term and respite care to elderly people who want to experience independence, happiness, and comfort within our beautiful care home, in their later stages of life. We are currently looking to hire 2 care workers who are experienced and very confident working night shifts.
Our home is dedicated to keeping residents social, mobile, and comfortable within their own abilities and preferences. Our staff are on hand to ensure all care is offered with respect, dignity, and compassion.
Currently, we have over 25 residents in our home, all have varying degrees of requirements within their care plans. We are keen to employ Care Workers that are used to working with elderly people who may be challenged with early-stage dementia, poor mobility, or rehabilitation needs due to heart disease or similar.
Requirements:
1. An extension of exceptional care provision from our day team.
2. Medication management as required by care plans.
3. Personal Care as required to support a safe and healthy sleeping environment.
4. Diligence to a senior standard to promote a safe space during the quieter night-time hours.
5. Ability to follow emergency procedures at night and make decisive decisions.
6. Other ad hoc duties such as laundry or tidying to prepare for the incoming day staff.
7. Provide vital comfort and companionship at night.
8. Support with fluids and food where necessary.
You will be asked to demonstrate both your experience to date and discuss how you are kind, reliable, and committed to a role in Care at Whitefield House.
We are ideally looking for someone who is flexible and able to offer 2-3 consistent night shifts per week. Hours are 9pm to 8am, this is an 11-hour paid shift at £12.35 per hour. We will refund any DBS costs once a successful probation period has passed.
