Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Rochdale Council, Childrens First Response Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The responsibilities will include:
1. Strength based intervention team which is responsible for providing the assessment of need/risk and ensuring there is a timely and effective plan in place for children and families.
2. Case holding responsibility for children in need, initiating child protection procedures and initial care proceedings when needed, as well as managing private law. Strong multi-agency working to ensure clear and robust step down to Early Help when a case no longer meets CSC threshold.
3. Responding to duty matters on a rota and undertaking multi-agency section 47 enquiries/risk assessments.
4. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
5. 3 month Temporary Contract.
6. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
