The role We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Operational Risk Analyst to join our Risk Management team. You will be responsible for working with relevant teams at GC to manage their operational risks and controls. This role requires an independent thinker with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation. What excites you Risk Assessment: Collaborate with teams to perform thorough risk assessments, identifying potential operational risks across processes Risk Mitigation: Partner with teams to design and implement controls aligned with our centralised risk management framework Raising incidents and issues: Proactively identify control gaps and perform control testing to ensure timely escalation of any identified issues Monitoring and Reporting: Prepare regular reports for management of operational risks, issues and incidents Senior Leadership Engagement: there may be occasions where it is required to present findings and progress at risk committees, ensuring senior stakeholders are informed of critical issues and developments Policy Development: Work with teams to create and maintain policies and procedures that comply with best practices What excites us 2-5 years of experience in operational risk management, or a related field, preferably within the financial services or technology industry An interest/knowledge of merchant credit and fraud risk management Ability to work on your own and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Proficiency in risk management software and tools (some of) The good stuff Wellbeing - stay healthy with dedicated support and medical cover Work away scheme - you can apply to work away from your country of residence for up to 90 days in any 12 month period ( in accordance with our work away policy) Adaptive Working - Our hybrid workplace model fosters collaboration and flexibility, with in-office days determined at team level Equity - all permanently employed GeeCees receive equity so we can share in the success we achieve together Parental leave - to suit everyone embarking on life's great adventure Time off - generous holiday allowance, 3 annual volunteer days, 4 annual business-wide wellness days (‘GC Fridays’) Life at GoCardless We're an organisation defined by our values ; We start with why before we begin any project, to ensure it’s aligned with our mission.
