Role Overview
OCU are seeking an experienced Plant and Transport Team Coordinator to be based in Levenshulme, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the efficiency of the Plant and Transport department. This individual will work closely with the Group Head of Plant and Transport and liaise with various department heads and regional managers. The role is designed as a developmental position for those aspiring to develop in P&T.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Act as a liaison between the Group Head of Plant and Transport and the Heads of Fleet, Technical Services, and Hire Desk.
* Deputise for department heads in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations.
* Collaborate with Regional Plant and Transport Managers and Supervisors to implement departmental strategies and provide support.
* Prepare accurate and timely reports and presentations for senior management.
* Assist in the development and rollout of key projects across the group.
* Support the Group Head of P&T in supplier negotiations and relationship management.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental processes and systems.
* Participate in the planning and execution of departmental goals and objectives.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in plant and transport operations or a related field.
* Strong organizational and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficient in data analysis and report preparation.
* Adept at working with various stakeholders across different levels of an organization.
* Ambitious and driven, with a clear focus on personal development and career progression.
