The systems analyst position is focused on developing a deep functional and technical understanding of key systems and how to best apply them. You will work together with business and technical teams to plan, design, and implement digital solutions using new or existing technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conduct meetings with stakeholders to elicit requirements.
* Critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true requirements.
* Understand existing business processes and refine/develop them with business stakeholders where necessary.
* Develop deep technical expertise on ERP (Primarily Dynamics AX 2012) and related systems and supporting business processes. Identify gaps in existing systems where business needs are not met.
* Produce project artifacts as needed, including requirements documentation, use cases/test cases, process flows, and software specifications. Maintain them throughout the life of the initiative.
* Liaise between business and IT project teams.
* Create test plans, execute validation, and help business users with user acceptance testing.
* Train end users and support teams on new functionality or features related to your projects.
* Provide post-implementation technical support and expertise.
* Act as Tier 3 technical support for escalations from the service desk team related to Dynamics AX 2012 and other ERP applications.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree/College Diploma in a technical discipline (Engineering or IT related).
* 3+ years’ experience as a technical business analyst or application specialist preferred.
* 3+ years process improvement, data, or technology project experience would be a strong asset.
* 2+ years of experience working with Dynamics AX 2012.
* Strong communication skills - written and oral.
* Team player - comfortable interfacing with cross-functional groups with minimal supervision.
* Strong facilitation skills that include meeting organization and preparation, clear presentation of ideas, ability to moderate discussions, and drive consensus on direction.
* Able to prioritize and plan workloads to meet deadlines.
* Proven hands-on experience (administration and support) working with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
* Advanced application and troubleshooting skills with knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
* Experience with Infor BaanIV, Infor LN, or ProAlpha is an asset.
* Advanced business knowledge in one or more of; Finance, Discrete/Engineer-to-order Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, and Service.
* Experience with software development life cycle and business analysis techniques.
* Experience with Agile and Project Management delivery methodologies.
* Fluent in English.
