As an apprentice at Wigston Academy, you'll be diving into hands-on projects, gaining practical skills, and setting the stage for a fulfilling IT career. As an apprentice you will support staff and pupils with IT queries in person and by phone and email, supporting with classroom equipment and hardware around the school such as printers, laptops, computers and projectors and much more You will be fully immersed in the world of IT and given all the tools and support to build a long and successful career in the IT industry In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician Qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Supporting staff and pupils with IT queries in person, by phone and email Supporting with classroom equipment and hardware around the school such as printers, laptops, computers and projectors Assist with password resets, and issue new login details Ensure network performance is monitored and report any anomalies or issues to the IT team leader Perform housekeeping duties such as ensuring school leavers are removed from systems and uploading new starters Maintain the PAT Testing register across the campus and test all necessary IT equipment Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
