Net Zero People are working with a leading BESS Renewable Power developer who are looking for a Associate Portfolio Manager.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
* Desired experience working in the Solar industry or similar maintenance/facilities management.
* Excellent technical and analytical skills are required.
* Good computer skills and user knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Desired interest in power electronics and circuitry, power generation technologies, and equipment.
* Good customer service skills – polite and approachable, with a desire to negotiate and work with multiple stakeholders, including clients, sub-contractors, and colleagues.
Purpose of the Associate Portfolio Manager:
They will support and facilitate the delivery and compliance of the services set out in the O&M service contract relating to PPMs schedules, corrective works, and additional services, ensuring all operations and maintenance (O&M) activities are performed in accordance with industry best practice.
Main Duties:
* Coordinate and support the office-based management of a portfolio of Solar sites, ensuring that corrective maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems is scheduled and reported to the client in a timely manner.
* Support the Operations Manager to ensure works are scheduled and completed.
* Work with the Operations Manager, Senior Portfolio Managers, and Portfolio Managers by supporting the regional teams in the delivery of the Operations and Maintenance services.
* Management of work orders and digital platforms.
* Support the Operations Manager in overseeing the proper planning and management of PPMs and coordinating CMs throughout the year, ensuring works are scheduled and completed within the contractual year, while keeping third-party contractor utilization to a bare minimum.
* Work closely with the Operations Manager, Senior Portfolio Managers, and Portfolio Managers to gain experience and develop skills in managing solar portfolios.
* Assist with the production of monthly reports and general reporting for clients.
* Analyze the portfolio of sites with the monitoring team, reviewing production analysis of sites.
* Identify ‘value add’ projects, defined as activities that significantly impact site performance, the health and safety of the workforce and visitors, and compliance with planning requirements beyond contractual obligations, aiming to maximize availability, safety, and energy generation on sites.
* Assist with the management of CCTV and security contractors, clients, and contracts, ensuring O&M contractual obligations are fulfilled.
* Support the Operations Manager on the commercial and client service-oriented strategy for continuous improvement of relationships with Asset Managers and identification of additional services and projects.
* Monitor maintenance KPIs and highlight trends for the Operations Manager and BOL Senior Management Team to make decisions on setting site-specific O&M plans.
* Support the Operations Manager in ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, e.g., LDs, corrective hours, and coordinating actions with the wider team.
* Engage in strategic planning, decision-making, and ensuring the overall success of the portfolio by analyzing data, problem-solving, and coordinating with various stakeholders.
* Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the Portfolio Managers and Associate Portfolio Managers within their team.
* Maintain data security and confidentiality by using information within the parameters of the job role, any applicable SLAs, the company data policies, and statutory guidelines set out within the GDPR and any associated UK legislation, particularly data generated by CCTV or classified as personal data.
* Comply with all required fire, health, and safety requirements for the environment in which you are working, including making yourself aware of current applicable policies and risk assessments, acting accordingly, and attending any required training.
* Any other reasonable task as requested by a Manager, Partner, or Director of the business.
