This role involves understanding clients’ businesses and marketing challenges and distilling them into highly focused strategies.
Our clients are UK and US based businesses, operating in service sectors. Their products and services are often complex, technical and often lack differentiation. So, this role requires you to be naturally curious, a fast learner, a creative thinker, and a great writer and presenter.
Reporting into the Brand Director, you will work closely with the account and creative teams to set a strategic direction and make sure the work stays on brand and on track.
Ideally, you’ll have 3-5 years’ experience in an integrated strategic planning role.
Main responsibilities
* Staying informed on market trends
* Conducting some primary, but chiefly secondary research
* Analysing research, data and trends
* Assisting the Brand Director with the delivery of workshops and write-ups
* Identifying insights, challenges, and opportunities
* Creating competitive reviews and situational analyses
* Developing brand anatomy/framework/architecture, positioning, and strategy
* Writing compelling brand stories
* Meeting and presenting to clients
* Briefing and collaborating with creative teams
Experience and skills
* Prior experience as a brand strategist or similar role, either leading or assisting in the development of brand anatomies/frameworks, value propositions, and positionings.
* Highly articulate with excellent writing skills.
* Experience leading client meetings.
* Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
* Ability to distil complex, technical business propositions into a succinct strategy.
* Creative and compelling storyteller.
* Strategic thinker.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Qualification in business, marketing, branding, communication, or related field required.
