As Engineering Team Leader, you’ll lead and manage a team of developers in the ongoing development of our Dental Capitation systems. You’ll be hands on in leading and building the platform, ensuring that the teams solve the right problems in the right ways and at pace. Working with technical leads and architects, you’ll be key to driving a modern, reliable and scalable platform architecture. You’ll have a passion for quality software engineering, always looking forward at how Simplyhealth can use new technologies and methodologies to drive business value. With a strong delivery mindset, you’ll have a particular focus on driving delivery efficiency through agile workflow and modern development practices. Key responsibilities Managing, coaching and developing a team of software engineers Balancing project and BAU priorities across squads / workstreams Delivery and management of key deliverables Technical leadership and guidance Contribute to wider technical architecture Ensuring and driving quality software engineering Enforcing secure software engineering principles Implementing and managing DevOps practices, e.g. CI/CD, GitFlow Implementing and managing agile delivery workflow, e.g. Scrum or Kanban Managing platform releases and managing stakeholders Liaising with Project Managers and Product Owners to ensure the team is aligned with business priorities Contribute to overall IT policies, standards and best practice Working within established IT governance processes Actively stay up to date on emerging technology, process and methodologies
