McBride Sport are supporting Somerset Cricket Foundation (SCF) in their search for a new Managing Director. The Managing Director along with a dedicated staff, supported by a board of trustees with expertise in different areas, run a charity the ECB regard as a leading organisation in safeguarding, schools’ delivery, cricket workforce, disability playing offer and facilities operations. Whether children, youth, or adults the breadth and range of programmes facilitated, and delivered is extraordinary and developing. In striving to build sustainable and impactful opportunities, and outcomes, SCF use cricket as a vehicle for improving people’s lives. The Managing Director will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring it delivers meaningful and measurable impact through cricket across communities in Somerset. The successful candidate will drive the development of a sustainable, inclusive, and impactful charity that uses cricket to change lives. A key focus of the role is to enhance the Foundation’s governance, diversify income generation, develop new revenue streams, and embed robust impact measurement and performance monitoring practices across all programmes. Key areas of responsibility include: * Strategic Leadership and Governance * Organisational Impact and Performance * Financial and Business Management * Community Engagement and Programme Development * People and Culture * Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy * Safeguarding, EDI, and Compliance Candidates will ideally have strategic leadership experience within the charity or community sport sector along with a track record of developing and diversifying income streams, including grant funding, partnerships, and commercial initiatives. This will be coupled with financial literacy, including budget setting and financial reporting, comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding and its application in community and youth settings and high-level stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. It’s an exciting time to be joining the Foundation for someone who shares their vision of positively impacting the lives of all people in Somerset through cricket; their mission of taking the game to all, making it safe, inspiring, and inclusive whilst building a continuing legacy; and their values of togetherness, nurture, dedication, integrity, and sustainable growth
