A National and successful planned and reactive maintenance contractor with over 40 branches around the UK, seeking a full time QS for their Nottingham office.\n\nQualified Quantity Surveyor with a background within construction contracts, refurbishment or void contract required to manage and control all financial and technical aspects of contracts including procurement, invoicing and payment to minimise costs & maximise value.\n\nThe surveyor is fully responsible for the financial performance of the project through to collection of cash.\n\nKey Responsibilities: ·\n\nMeasurement, pricing and evaluation of tenders\n\nTake responsibility of projects from inception to completion\n\nIdentify areas to improve margin\n\nCost management\n\nTarget creation\n\nCVR reporting and forecasting\n\nManagement and administration of sub-contractor accounts\n\nProducing and submitting applications for payment\n\nUnderstand Health & Safety requirements\n\nDevelop and maintain subcontract and supplier contracts\n\nKnowledge/Experience:·\n\nProfessional Qualification (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent\n\nPrevious experience of construction/retrofit or fabric upgrades are preferred however not essential\n\nPrevious experience of working with bill of quants, schedules of rates, design and build contracts etc\n\nExtensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors · Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting\n\nExcellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative\n\nExperienced with direct and subcontract labour\n\nExcellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines\n\nAbility to encourage and support other members of the commercial team\n\nStrong IT skills, particularly Excel\n\nOn offer is a competitive salary and benefits package including a car allowance, fuel card and bonus scheme
