Our client is seeking a skilled and hands-on leader to oversee the daily management of their vehicle fleet, transport operations, and depot network. The successful candidate will ensure that deliveries are completed on time, efficiently, and fully compliant with safety and operational standards. You’ll be at the forefront of driving transport efficiency, leading a high-performing team, and supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans. Key Responsibilities: This position oversees the company’s vehicle fleet and transport planning, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery operations. Ensure depots are managed effectively, adhering to operational and safety standards while identifying cost-saving opportunities. Lead and develop drivers, planners, and administrative staff, fostering a positive, performance-driven culture. Manage the transport department’s budget, optimising costs while maintaining high service levels. Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and lead health and safety initiatives. Continuously assess and improve transport processes, implementing technology and strategies to enhance operations. Qualifications and Experience Required: Proven experience in transport management (minimum 3 years) Strong understanding of UK vehicle compliance and transport regulations. Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams, with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Commercial acumen, able to balance cost efficiency with operational effectiveness. Full Clean UK Driving Licence and Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Proficiency in transport management software (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS). Why This Opportunity?
