Description We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician to join our team at the Basingstoke office. The position is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Responsibilities • Performs installation, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and minor repairs. • Maintains the operation of all building equipment, accessories, and components • Technically capable / trained and responsible for various duties in heating, fire, ventilation, lighting and air conditioning (HVAC), building automation (Access Control), mechanical, electrical disciplines • Assists in training and supervision of others in the use of building equipment and components • Responsible for the raising of PO’s, best cost practices, budgetary controls for repairs and/or replacement of building equipment and/or components • Project Management and planning support for internal/external building projects • Performs other duties as directed and liaises with external contractors for service requirements. • Site Safety Officer / Fire Marshal duties for Basingstoke to include key equipment testing e.g. fire alarm testing • Annual Shutdown – Participate with the annual site shutdown for servicing activities as required. • Out-of-hours on-call response as & when required (Fire alarm, Intruder alarm, power failure, leaks etc) monetary compensation included. Qualifications • Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds/NVQ in Buildings/Facilities Maintenance / Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance. • Health and safety trained including IOSH, L8, LOTO, RAMS and PTW etc • Excellent communication skills - able to deal with different people such as customers, staff, contractors, and team members either face to face, in writing and on or any other communications. • Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach, utilising own initiative as part of a team and independently. • Experience related to building and grounds maintenance • Experience in procurement and contract management for facilities function • Knowledge and understanding of site safety procedures • Proficiency in the use of CMMS PM system, Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word • Forklift license holder and experience is desirable but not essential.
