Caretaking Co-ordinator (with Finance)
Full Time Permanent
Grade 6, Spinal Point 9, Starting at £25,119 per annum
37 hours per week, All Year Round
Overtime available where necessary. Occasional late-night finishes for school events and no weekend working.

The successful candidate will provide efficient and effective maintenance and janitor support to the South Staffordshire Learning Partnership schools, ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards and that heating systems operate at optimum efficiency. The role will include driving the school mini bus and a willingness to undertake a mini bus driving test.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain the security of the premises and its contents.
2. Line management of a small team.
3. Undertake recruitment, induction, appraisal, training, and mentoring of site staff.
4. Maintain appropriate checks and records such as grounds surveys, ladders, and water temperature checks.
5. In the event of a burst or leaking water pipe, turn off the water and clean up all spillage and furnishings.
6. Ensure that gullies and drains are free from debris and that the school grounds are kept tidy and free from hazardous plants.
7. Undertake repairs, projects, and redecoration tasks as required.
8. Perform maintenance and minor repairs to fixtures, fittings, and furnishings.
9. Assist with portage tasks as required and moving furniture.
10. Attend to personnel visiting and working on site as appropriate.
