An established construction company is seeking an ambitious professional who is eager to join a diverse and dynamic business in the North East. This is an opportunity for someone who is eager to step into an Assistant Contracts Manager position. Projects range from £50K - £1M across commercial new build, refurbishment, and fit-out.
The Role
The incumbent will work closely with senior management, initially joining as an Assistant Contracts Manager to learn the business, the projects, and have responsibilities handed over gradually as they learn more about the role.
Full job duties include:
1. Concurrently managing the delivery of up to 2-4 projects
2. Management and professional development of staff
3. Advocate and comply with company policy and procedure and contribute to the development of company culture
4. The projects are predominantly commercial refurbishment, fit-out, or new build extensions.
5. The candidate must have supervisory experience with a background in refurbishment and fit-out
6. The candidate must have experience directing a direct labour force
Requirements:
1. At least 2 years supervisory experience
2. Trade background desirable
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Good tenure
5. Has briefed teams on OHS
6. Ability to read intense drawings in detail
7. SMSTS / SSSTS
8. Full UK driver's license
