This is a full time post with a shift rotation of 4 days on, 4 days off and the shift is 07:00-19:00.

An exciting opportunity exists within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be part of the Facilities Management Team and play a key role in ensuring the provision of key support services at this unique and challenging time.
Working as part of the Logistics Team, the post holder has supervisory responsibility for a team of Logistics Assistants and is responsible for all aspects of Logistics Services including waste, linen, mail room, receipt of deliveries and transportation of goods to the required services/departments, ensuring the seamless delivery of all services, contributing to the overall provision of quality patient care.
Supervising the delivery of a range of Logistics services, i.e. waste, linen, receipt and delivery of goods, mail room services. The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for the allocation of logistics tasks to Logistics Operatives ensure that all tasks are completed in full compliance with all statutory & mandatory compliance and local SOP’s to enable the delivery of consistently high quality services provision. This role will work closely with other Facilities’ services, both locally and corporately to support service delivery.

You must have knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures and good practice relating to the management of services, along with the ability to work autonomously and be self motivated and have effective and efficient leadership skills. You must have the ability to respond to unpredictable/emergency situations. You are required to attend a centralised induction before commencing – this may be held at another site within NHSGGC.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
