Electrical Engineering Manager – EV Charging
Location: London (3 Days Per Week On-Site)
Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 OTE + Benefits

Overview
An opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to join a growing team delivering EV charging infrastructure projects across the UK. You will play a key role in ensuring installations are designed, delivered, and commissioned to a high standard, working closely with internal teams, contractors, and local authorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee end-to-end technical delivery of EV charging sites, from initial design through installation and commissioning
* Identify and flag delivery risks, technical issues, and any factors that could impact project timelines or quality
* Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and relevant stakeholders to keep delivery on track
* Provide technical support to internal teams on design standards, compliance, and installation practices
* Ensure alignment between product selection, system compatibility, and network standards
* Report regularly on project performance, risks, and delivery milestones
* Monitor on-site compliance with HSE regulations and company health & safety policies
* Work cross-functionally with design, planning, and operations to ensure smooth delivery
* Act as a technical advisor to senior leadership when required
About You
You’re a qualified electrician or technical project lead with hands-on experience in delivering EV charging or electrical infrastructure projects. You're confident working across multiple stakeholders, managing technical risk, and ensuring safe, compliant installations in fast-paced environments.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in a similar role (Technical Manager, Electrical Project Manager, or Supervisor)
* Proven track record delivering EV charging or comparable electrical infrastructure
* Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, DNO connections, and working in public highways environments
* Proficient in relevant software (AutoCAD, Amtech/Trimble) and confident with manual calculations
* Working knowledge of BS7671, the IET Code of Practice, and the 18th Edition
* Familiar with project reporting, supply chain management, and performance tracking
* Ability to provide electrical sign-off and ideally act as a NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor
Qualifications
* City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition, 2nd Amendment)
* City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent
* Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred)
* Higher-level qualification in electrical or electronic engineering (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence
