About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team, overseeing the successful delivery of a data centre project in Watford. This is a full-time role within a Project & Construction Management Consultancy, where you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and completion of the project while ensuring quality, cost, and timeline objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Delivery: Lead and manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
* Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, and other key stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and collaboration.
* Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met on time.
* Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve project challenges.
* Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial reporting aligns with project objectives.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a strong safety culture on-site.
* Procurement & Contract Administration: Manage procurement strategies, contract negotiations, and administration, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
* Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and documentation for senior management and stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
* Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of project management experience, ideally within data centres, critical infrastructure, or industrial projects.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), and fit-out within live brownfield environments.
* Qualifications: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or APM certification is a plus.
* Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and contract forms (e.g., NEC, JCT).
* Problem-Solving: Ability to manage complex technical challenges in a live operational setting.
* Communication & Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to drive project success.
* Right to Work: Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
