The Role
Required to provide legal and commercial support. Support for QS with subcontract terms and preparing/checking contract documents.
To help the Legal and Commercial Support with dealing with all matters attaining to Paralegal:
1. Provide legal advice with the support of and under the supervision of Legal Counsel during the tender and project delivery stages until conclusion of projects.
2. Conduct contract reviews at enquiry stage.
3. Highlight any concerns within the Terms and Conditions to the Bid Manager.
4. Write Technical Queries for submission to the Client.
5. Close out issues once responses received.
6. Prepare, amend, and advise on contracts and subcontracts to meet business needs.
7. Liaise with project teams, customers, and other stakeholders as required.
8. Handle supplementary documentation such as parent company guarantees, non-disclosure agreements, third party rights and warranties.
9. Ensure accurate record-keeping of contracts and associated documents.
10. Manage administrative aspects of projects in relation to legal documents.
11. Coordinate with internal teams, including IT, HR, and finance where required.
12. Work in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
13. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
14. Adhere to continuous professional development, stay informed, and apply acquired knowledge for the benefit of the business.
This role is a fixed terms contract covering staff member while they are on maternity leave.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Law Graduate - Essential
2. Experience as a paralegal working with complex commercial contracts - Essential
3. Construction/Nuclear experience - Desirable
