Job Summary
To provide CT and MRI imaging procedures to the local Gloucester communities working for an established medical charity. Imaging procedures undertaken in both modalities cover a wide range of routine and complex work, so this is an opportunity for individuals to further develop their skills and expertise. The person we are looking for will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality imaging services supporting the Clinical Lead and working collaboratively with all stakeholders to meet the objectives of the services.
Main Duties of the Job
Other key responsibilities are to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient CT and MRI service is maintained by teamwork across the modalities. To undertake imaging procedures efficiently and effectively for all patients; adhering to best practices of radiographic technique. Participate in audit and quality assurance and provide service performance reports. Maintain a high level of professionalism and technical standard of work, complying with relevant Codes of Practice and delivering exemplary patient care representing the Charity.
Shifts will involve working variable days over a 7-day week. Hours of work will be an average of 37.5 hours per week, worked as three 11.5 hour shifts each week with a 30-minute unpaid break. Enhancements apply to weekend and bank holiday working.

Job Responsibilities
Job Title: CT/ MRI Senior Cross Sectional Radiographer CDC
Main Place of Work: Quayside CT & MRI Imaging Centre, Quayside House Community Diagnostic Centre, Quay Street, Gloucester, GL1 2YZ.
Responsible to: CDC Lead Radiographer
Accountable to: Chief Executive
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Respond to the clinical requests of the Consultant Radiologists, liaise with multidisciplinary teams as necessary to ensure continuity of care.
* Assist the CDC Lead Radiographer with the organisation and management of day-to-day scanning lists and maintaining CT and MRI protocols.
* Ensure the safe use and maintenance of highly specialist imaging equipment, adhering to all local safety procedures.
* Support the Imaging academy in development at the CDC, and train newly qualified CT and MRI radiographers, students, and administrative staff.
