Our Team at Brize Norton are on the UK Government’s critical personnel key worker list for ‘public safety and national security' as the service that we provide is critical to the delivery of key defence outputs.
Our contract with the MOD states we will provide a continuous service to cover on a 24 hours, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to the Royal Air Force, to maintain and ensure airworthiness of their fleet of aircraft.
Our services include both direct and indirect functions which all work together to provide the airworthiness total service – including maintenance planners; licensed line maintenance engineers; technical services including structures and systems specialists; facilities management; security; and health and safety etc.
The opportunity
A permanent opportunity has arisen for an A400M B1/2 Line Maintenance Engineer to join our Airbus team at Airbus Support Centres UK based in RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire.
Reporting directly to the line shift team lead you will perform Line Maintenance/Line Support activities, Maintenance, Supervision, Certification and Customer Support to Airbus A400M Aircraft, on-time and on quality.

How you will contribute
* You will complete allocated tasks in order to maintain On-Time Performance, including but not limited to; aircraft arrivals and departures, Fault Finding, Rectification, Progression of Deferred Faults, Routine/scheduled & planned maintenance and daily admin tasks.
* You will ensure that performance of work is in compliance with company technical and administrative procedures including the company Environmental Health and Safety Policy.
* You will ensure that maintenance tasks are carried out by appropriately authorized personnel and that Support Staff are supervised to the required level.
* You will ensure that completed work documentation meets the required quality standard and is certified in accordance with the applicable regulatory and organisational requirements.
* You will attend regular update meetings as required by Supervisors and MOC and ensure that Supervisors and MOC are made aware of any factors affecting Fleet Serviceability at all times.
* You will ensure that all required husbandry tasks are carried out to ensure appropriate control of the line maintenance environment including but not limited to: specified daily and weekly vehicle checks, re-stocking of consumable goods, adherence to the tool control system and notification of damaged equipment.
* You will complete all required continuation training and carry out sufficient on-aircraft work to retain AMUK Certifying Authorisation.
About you
* Holder of UK/EASA full B1 or B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance License
* Demonstrative Aircraft Maintenance experience on complex, modern digital aircraft.
* Customer facing experience.
* Extensive Line and Base Maintenance experience.
* Extensive fault finding and manufacturer liaison experience.
* A400M Type Rating or other modern Airbus Type Rating.
* Other propeller aircraft Type Rating.
The requirements of the role require you to be able to satisfy the security clearance requirements necessary for access to a UK military establishment, and work in a security sensitive environment
