Salary: Soulbury Trainee Educational Psychology Scale Point 2 - £29,872 to Scale Point 5 - £35,572 (Scale Point 2 for Year 2 students and Scale Point 3 for Year 3 students)
Hours per Week: 36 hours per week
Base Location: Hyde Town Hall, Market Street, Hyde, SK14 1AL

The Role
Tameside Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is looking for talented Trainee Educational Psychologists to support the development and growth of our new and innovative service. Tameside is an evolving service and as such provides a unique opportunity for practitioners to practice an ethical model of service delivery and shape the focus of delivery. We are building a service that has high expectations of practitioners, but also provides a positive and innovative working environment, where decisions are made as a team and everyone’s contribution is valued. Currently we are involved in influencing and shaping the wider SEND support systems, specifically around support for our most vulnerable pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs; neurodiversity and the early years.
Our initial model of service delivery was co-produced with Tameside children and young people (CYP). This has led to us in trialling a community psychology based approach and are constantly aiming to gain feedback from service users so that we work in a way that reflects the needs of the community in which we serve.

Tameside EPS have an influential role in the development and implementation of council policy and strategy and is highly valued in Tameside. We have good links across Greater Manchester, specifically Salford and Bury EPS and with the University of Manchester.
