Position Statement: As the Night Porter, you will play a key role in ensuring the security and seamless operation of the Hotel by night, contributing to an outstanding guest service in the quieter hours to ensure our guests are always looked after. As Night Porter you will be responsible for: The security of guests and the premises of the hotel Serving and assisting guests for the duration of the night Providing the highest standards of service to guests, ensuring all guests needs and expectations are met Ensuring you are aware of all hotel services and are proactive in the sale of these to guests Ensuring you handle, store and deliver guest luggage to the appropriate destination Providing a guest car parking valet service if and when required Ensuring the guest areas are maintained in a clean and tidy manner in accordance with departmental and hotel standards Receiving payments for food and beverages Dealing with room service as required Ensuring all equipment and materials are used in a correct manner and reporting any issues immediately Maintaining security of stock areas at all times Dealing with guest concerns courteously and efficiently, reporting them to the Manager on duty Preparing set up for restaurant and conference and banqueting as required Essential Criteria Excellent communication skills Excellent guest service experience Self motivated and eagar to learn Reliable and trustworthy Previous experience in a similar role within Hospitality would be adventageous.
