Main duties of the job As a Senior Healthcare Assistant in the Day Surgery Unit, you will: Put patient care first. Carry out administration duties such as, completing DSU documentation, recording observations, height, weight and calculating MUST and BMI scores. Desirably have phlebotomy skills and previous experience in performing ECG's. Assist colleagues in the Day Surgery Unit caring for patients pre and post operatively from multiple specialities including orthopaedic, Gynaecology, ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Colorectal and Ophthalmology patients. Manage a wide range of activities and changing priorities. Assist to ensure the smooth running of the Day Surgery Unit. Work directly alongside the Day Surgery Unit Nursing staff.
