Group IT Manager Caerphilly Salary up to £55,000 pa 15% Company Bonus CPS Group are working with a rapidly expanding South Wales based business who are looking to hire an experienced IT Manager. Initially this is a standalone role and as such duties will be varied from providing Technical Support, liaising with external parties through to leading on IT strategy and project implementation. 6 months in to the role you will be able to grow the team with a hire for an IT Support Engineer planned. Due to the nature of the role we need candidates who are willing to be onsite in Caerphilly 5 days a week.Duties Manage a mix of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support for internal users across all business systems calling on the external IT Provider when required. Implement and maintain strong cybersecurity protocols to protect the organization from potential threats. Ensure the ERP system is fully aligned with business needs and stakeholder requirements. Oversee and coordinate software and hardware upgrades, ensuring successful delivery within budget constraints. Collaborate with other departments to support and drive automation initiatives where applicable. Manage IT and telecommunications budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources. Liaise with external IT support partners to guarantee the Group receives high-quality, responsive service. Set up IT systems and equipment for new hires and deliver comprehensive IT onboarding sessions. Address and resolve day-to-day technical issues as they arise. Monitor and optimize network performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing effective solutions. Deliver responsive desktop support, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user issues.Skills and Experience Experience within a similar IT Manager role with mix of hands on technical skills as well as project / strategic experience too. High level of communication skills comfortable liaising effectively with senior stakeholders, Strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges. In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems administration, with solid proficiency in networking and cybersecurity best practices. Experienced in providing end-user support across Microsoft 365 applications, including Office 365, SharePoint, and Teams.
