Objective of the Role
Reporting directly to the Conference & Events Manager this is a brilliant opportunity for a conference and events executive to join our busy Sales & Marketing Team. In this role you will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving meeting room sales budget of hotel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Dealing with telephone, email and web enquiries for Meetings & Events (Pro-active Sales)
* Follow procedures of completing enquiry forms and sending quotations through to contracts for each piece of business
* To ensure the accurate processing, distribution, and recording/filing and follow up of all sales correspondence, including the execution of contracts, quotations, confirmations, cancellations
* Ensure all client needs are met and perform account management on all meeting room/events clients.
* Post all meeting room charges and issue receipts to clients
* Monitoring of competitor meeting room boards
* Weekly telesales to acquire new business
* Management of all databases to keep clean & up-to-date
* Report weekly & monthly on account performance and general activity
* Health and Safety representative for the sales office at monthly meetings
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Experience with Opera System desirable but not essential
Experience and Key Attributes
* 1 – 2 years previous event sales or coordinating experience in a hotel or venue
* Experience working with customers
* An excellent command of the English language
* Excellent organisational skills
* Possess the ability to see an opportunity act on it to secure revenue for the Hotel.
* Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
* High level of creativity.
