Role Overview
In your role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll collaborate closely with our teaching team to provide tailored support for students with various special educational needs. This includes classroom assistance, one-on-one and small group work, and contributing to a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Student Support:
1. Work individually or with small groups to support educational and social development.
2. Promote independence and resilience through structured activities and personalised guidance.
3. Create a nurturing environment that boosts students' confidence and self-esteem.
Classroom Assistance:
4. Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons that cater to our students' diverse needs.
5. Help maintain a well-organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
6. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
Additional Responsibilities:
7. Support students during transitions, break times, and school outings.
8. Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
9. Uphold our commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated individual who:
10. Has experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting.
11. Is knowledgeable about safeguarding and child protection practices.
12. Brings a patient, nurturing, and flexible approach to working with students.
13. Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
