Job Title: Legal Counsel (EMEA)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 18:00
Salary Range: £36,000 per year
Start Date: ASAP (As Soon As Possible)
Job Responsibilities
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, with a focus on agreements with travel suppliers such as airlines and hotels.
Legal Support: Provide day-to-day legal advice to the commercial team on operations, project execution, and compliance matters, covering areas such as data protection, consumer rights, marketing, and travel regulations.
Compliance Monitoring: Keep abreast of the latest legal and regulatory developments to ensure business activities meet local and international compliance requirements.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with HR, finance, product, marketing, and customer service departments to coordinate internal and external resources.
Training and Guidance: Design and conduct legal training sessions and develop internal compliance guidelines on relevant legal topics.
Dispute Resolution: Assist in handling customer complaints, litigation, and other legal disputes.
Process Optimization: Participate in the optimization of internal legal processes and systems.
Employment Law Matters: Provide legal advice on employment law-related issues.
Qualifications
Professional Qualifications:
* Qualified solicitor registered with the SRA (England & Wales) or the Law Society of Scotland (NQ).
* 2 - 3 years of legal work experience (recent graduates may be considered with appropriate experience).
Professional Skills:
* Strong understanding of B2B and B2C legal matters, with practical experience in data privacy laws.
* Excellent commercial acumen and ability to handle multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
Language Requirements:
* Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
Soft Skills:
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
* Proactive, strategic thinking, and adaptable.
Preferred Experience:
* Experience in the travel industry is a plus (not essential).
