Directorate: Social Care, Health & Wellbeing Section: All Age Commissioning Grade: Level 14 Salary: £49,764 - £52,805 Hours: 37 This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants. As a key member of our Children and Families Commissioning team, you will be instrumental in the continued development and maintenance of financial and statistical procedures to enable effective budget management of the High Needs Block, including provider negotiations, and support the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) teams to meet its statutory duties in relation to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. You will work in partnership with our Special Education Needs Monitoring Assessment Service to ensure Stoke on Trent Children and Young People with Special Needs and or Disabilities have access to good quality education placements. You will work closely with the Council’s SEN, Commissioning and Finance Teams to ensure children are placed in education settings that meet their needs and offer value for money. You will contribute to good quality accounting for this element of the High Needs Budget and provide up to date data and financial projections for Children with Special Needs and or Disabilities. About You 1. You will have a good understanding of the education sector, ideally with an understanding of Local Authority Education budgets. 2. You will be organised and have the ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple deadlines. 3. You have the ability to build trusting relationships with colleagues, both internally and externally, and can communicate clearly and effectively at all levels. 4. You will be working within the Children and Families Commissioning Team, reporting directly to the Head of Commissioning for Children and Families.
