We are currently recruiting for a Streetworks Compliance Manager to join our team, to manage the compliance team under the Yorkshire Water contract checking internal permits/works for compliance with the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991 and its relevant codes of practice, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and Highway Authorities Permit Schemes.

* Location: Preston
* Hours of work: 40 hours per week
About the Role
Responsibilities - but not limited to:
* Manage the Compliance/Streetworks team on the Yorkshire Water contract in relation to the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991 and its relevant codes of practice, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and Highway Authorities Permit Schemes.
* Support the Compliance Teams and Operations Teams in administering Street Works fines / Defects with Business Partners - ensure these are actioned / closed out in a timely manner.
* Ensure Streetworks Compliance data is passed through to the Client through project dashboards, Section 74 breaches, Fixed Penalty Notices, Breach of Permits and Defects.
* Oversee all permit related charges and ensure deadlines are met to avoid financial penalties.
* Assist where and when required with reports relating to all permit activities.
* Liaise with all relevant departments to ensure clear communications regarding changes/updates to Yorkshire Water processes.
* Adhoc tasks including arranging meetings, training etc.
Skills and Behaviours
* Experience in street works and reinstatement.
* Experience in the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991 and its relevant codes of practice.
* Experience in managing others.
* Working knowledge of HAUC UK advice notes.
* 3/5 years + experience as a Senior Technician in a Streetworks Functionality or Reinstatement Supervisor / Specialist.
* Have strong operational experience with experience in working with Business Partner Construction / Reinstatement Managers.
* Understand Streetworks and can engage with HA's / LA's and relevant stakeholders to implement Streetworks improvement plans.
* Customer relationship management.
* Experience with Network & Asset Management software i.e., Street Manager/Eton or similar.
* Proven industry experience.
* Full clean driving licence.
