As part of the Responsible Designer for the Hinkley Point C EPR project, EPR-E provides the design for the Nuclear Island (NI).
EPR-E is responsible for delivering the design for a number of Nuclear Island buildings, systems and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project through an integrated team, support to HPC construction and commissioning activities, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. Therefore, a Technical Directorate is being created, responsible for the engineering disciplines and technical expertise required to deliver the different engineering projects through integrated teams in EPR-E.
A key output HPC Building Teams, is the EPR-E Master 3D Model. Under the Extended Enterprise project, the 3D Models produced by three Execution Designers (covering part of the Piping, HVAC & Electrical scopes), are being integrated into the EPR-E Master 3D Model. This will allow their design to be visualised alongside EPR-E scope and allow more co-activity issues to be resolved prior to installation on site.
For the HPC project, we are currently looking to recruit for the role of Project Manager – Extended Enterprise.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with several of the below listed activities depending on the job/project requirements and the competences and experience:
1. Manage the deployment of the Piping Execution Designer, having a holistic view of:
1. Technical tests
2. Coactivity open points
3. Contractual aspects
4. Change Management
5. Reintegration by Bilfinger process and tests
6. Deployment coordination
· Ensure the transfer of HVAC Execution Designer scope is “reintegrated” into the EPR-E Master 3D Model
· Continuous improvement of engineering sequence, once Execution Designers are working in the EPR-E Master 3D Model
· Working with Model Managers, to ensure Execution Designers are complying with modelling rules, and working to the expected quality
· Cost and budget management

2. Enjoys a challenging technical environment with multiple and urgent demands
3. Is able to seek clarification from multiple stakeholders in order to prioritize, paying attention to the wider context and bigger picture to inform their decisions to minimize schedule and cost implications
4. Experience in one or several areas of engineering: Layout, HVAC, Piping, Electrical, mechanical, Contracts, Safety etc.
5. Degree qualified in appropriate technical discipline
6. Previous experience working with 3D design software (e.g. Navisworks, AutoCAD, PDMS and/or E3D)
7. Knowledge and understanding of HVAC, Piping & general layout rules for an industrial project
The post is restricted due to the nature of the role and the export control regulations which apply. All applicants will be subject to national security and export control vetting processes.
