Experienced Insurance Sales Consultant

Salary: £23,300–£28,000 DOE, OTE circa £30,000–£34,000
Hours: 37.5 per week
* Monday–Friday 9:00 – 17:30
* One Saturday in four, 9:00 – 13:00
This is a great opportunity for a personable insurance professional to join a UK Leading, Award Winning Insurance provider within their busy new-business team. Working from the Northampton office, the successful candidate will handle inbound enquiries generated by active marketing campaigns, as well as outbound calls to prospects who have requested contact online. You’ll assess each customer’s needs and recommend the most suitable insurance solutions to secure renewals and new policies for the year ahead.

Key Duties
* Handle inbound calls from prospects generated by marketing campaigns and respond promptly to telephone, email and online enquiries.
* Conduct outbound calls to customers who have requested contact via e-commerce sites or email.
* Assess each client’s insurance requirements and present tailored quotations across our client’s insurance product range.
* Advise on policy features, cover options and premium calculations to secure new business and renewals.
* Meet and exceed individual sales targets through proactive upselling and cross-selling where appropriate.
* Accurately record all customer interactions, policy details and transaction data in the CRM.
* Issue client care letters, policy documents and renewal reminders in line with regulatory requirements.
* Ensure full compliance, data-protection regulations and company policies at all times.
* Liaise with underwriters, brokers and other third parties to resolve underwriting queries and facilitate smooth policy placements.
* Monitor pipeline activity and follow up on outstanding quotations and renewals to maximise conversion rates.
The Candidate
* Proven experience within an insurance environment, ideally including policy sales.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong numeracy, literacy and keyboard proficiency.
* A positive, outgoing demeanour with genuine empathy for customers.
