Are you a surveyor looking to take the next step in your career in the Infrastructure Property sector? This role could be exactly what you are looking for!
The Company
Our client is one of the most well-known and established property consultancies in the UK. They are looking to bring in a Senior Surveyor to join their Infrastructure team, based out of the Birmingham office.
The team is focused mainly on client advisory for land assembly and compensation on behalf of developer, acquiring authority and private landowner clients, alongside property access and acquisition services for public sector clients.
The Role
1. Negotiate heads of terms, option agreements, and voluntary agreements for land acquisition.
2. Develop and undertake new business/relationship opportunities.
3. Drive forward initiatives in the local area with a focus on Claimants/landowners.
4. Engage with Landowners and Stakeholders and negotiate disturbance claims following works.
5. Gain consents for access across third-party land for works.
6. Undertake Land and Property Valuation.
7. Negotiate compensation claims arising from construction works.
8. Play an active role in the continuous development of efficient, 'best practice' internal systems and processes.
9. Provide management of surveyors working across the team and mentor junior members of the team.
The Successful Candidate
Ideally, you will be RICS Qualified and an RICS Registered Valuer with extensive PQE experience in a general practice/infrastructure surveying role. A business development-oriented attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer service is essential. Compulsory Purchase experience is desirable, although this is not essential as we have excellent training available through our Infrastructures Academy. Rural surveying experience could be beneficial as aspects of our work cover rural portfolios, including commercial and residential assets. You must also demonstrate a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You are ambitious and keen to develop your career in line with the business, actively seeking continuous self-development and broadening your knowledge and experience. The ability to drive business initiatives forward and establish new relationships while maintaining existing ones is key. Being a team player with strong interpersonal skills, a good sense of humour, and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels is essential.
