About the role On the Beach have a rare and exciting opportunity for you to join as a Health & Safety Advisor. Coming into our Legal Team in, you will find yourself in small, friendly, and highly supportive team, dedicated to ensuring that the overseas hotels that we work with are as committed and attentive to health and safety as we are You will be responsible for providing first class and proactive administrative Health, Safety & Risk support. Should a risk be identified, you will adopt an efficient, client focused approach to identify H&S solutions in a timely manner, providing the appropriate advice and support to both the team, to the hotel or agents in resort and across our wider network of overseas suppliers. This is a particularly exciting role as no two days are ever the same You will receive mentoring and career development, whilst being involved in an array of exciting projects. This is a great way to forge a H&S career within the travel industry, with the opportunity to travel to some of our resorts and help shape the future of the Health & Safety remit Key Responsibilities Using internal systems undertake follow up and investigations working with key stakeholders in the business and the Health & Safety Manager to put in place the relevant control methodologies to address unidentified issues Correspond with decision makers sharing information and advice and where required enforcing company policies Lead on the administrative implementation of Health & Safety improvement plans Liaise with third party suppliers in relation to health & safety assessments / audits under alongside Health & Safety Manager Manage record keeping for risk assessments/self-assessments/audits ensuring all information is accurate, compliant, and maintained in line with the Safety Management System Lead on the administrative implementation and management of identified risks Assist in the devising and implementation of on the Beach Health and Safety procedures Assisting with the preparation of communications to internal, external customers and third-party contractors Develop strong relations and effective interfaces with internal and external partners Assist in planning, organising and delivering H&S training Potential overseas travel You'll be a great addition to our team if you have the following skills, knowledge and experience Health and Safety experience within a professional services environment Experience of travel industry or hotel industry Health & Safety knowledge or qualification – ideally in the travel Industry Knowledge, Experience and Skills Travel Industry experience would be preferred. Experience of working in H&S environment / risk assessment / Auditing background Passion for Health and Safety Excellent organisational and planning skills Previous experience of database management and management reporting Identification and escalation of issues utilising data held on data base and internal systems High attention to detail and commitment to deliver work to agreed deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work successfully in a demanding environment Ability to balance a challenging workload with demanding deadlines Ability to work alone and also as part of a team Develops and fosters successful collaborative working relationships both internally and externally Identification and escalation of issues utilising data held on data base and internal system Ways of working Our fulltime hours are 37.5 per week, but we don't have rigid working hours so you can find the working pattern that's right for you. We have core working hours between 10am - 4pm, so we can collaborate and enjoy the social side of work. We also have hybrid working where we work from our Aeroworks office in Manchester City Centre 2 days a week and 3 days from home. You are welcome in the office at any time however, so come in and collab.
