Purchase Ledger Clerk - Immediate Start £26,000 starting salary Monday to Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm (with half-hour break) Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm (with half-hour break) We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a dynamic and fast-paced team within the finance sector. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in purchase ledger management and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have had experience in SAP and Excel, with an understanding of VAT and double-entry bookkeeping. Key Responsibilities: Processing and logging high volumes of supplier invoices Assisting with payment processing and reconciliations Filing and organising supplier documentation Responding to supplier queries and forwarding them to the appropriate team member Maintaining the supplier database and helping set up new suppliers Supporting the finance team with general administrative tasks Helping with emails and post management What We're Looking For: Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger role Familiarity with VAT, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial procedures Experience in Excel and ideally SAP Strong attention to detail and keyboard accuracy Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Confident, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure This is a full-time position offering a competitive starting salary of £26,000 with working hours from Monday to Thursday (9:00am - 5:00pm) and Friday (8:30am - 4:00pm), each day including a half-hour break.
