We now need a dynamic and ambitious Marketing Manager to increase our brand awareness even further and create marketing campaigns that really make a difference for our customers and communities. The Role As our Marketing Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we communicate and express our brand across both B2C (savings) and B2B audiences (mortgages). You will lead the development and execution of creative marketing strategies, ensuring that our campaigns resonate with both existing and potential members. Day-to-day this will mean liaising with colleagues across the business to define marketing objectives, briefing agencies, writing copy, approving creative and coming up with ideas on how to promote our products and grow our customer base. You will also have responsibility for developing our six-figure, multi-year charity partnership with MyBnk. This provides resources and funding to improve financial education for vulnerable young people across Essex. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with our brand vision and drive member engagement. Oversee the creation of compelling campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, and traditional media. Collaborate closely with teams across the organisation to ensure brand consistency and a unified voice. Analyse market trends and member feedback to optimise campaign performance and enhance our brand proposition. Leverage your financial services knowledge, particularly in mortgages and savings, to craft messages that resonate with our audience. People/line management experience – you will have a close knit team of 3 as well as two retained marketing agencies. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a marketing role, with a focus on brand management and campaign strategy. A passion for helping people achieve money happiness, and an understanding of how a building society works. Ideally a strong background in the financial services sector; knowledge of mortgages and savings will be advantageous. Exceptional creativity and the ability to communicate complex ideas in an engaging manner. Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation. An interest in driving communications for charity/purpose partnerships, including managing third parties in the charitable sector. Why Join Us?
