THE ROLE: Head of Finance
We are looking for a fully qualified finance professional to join our team as the Head of Finance. This hybrid role is based partly in our brand-new offices in Sheffield (three days a week) and offers the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two days. Reporting to the CEO, and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead a team of 2 other Finance professionals.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Your role will be to oversee and manage the finance function across NuBreed Hotels including its EU subsidiary. You will have responsibility for oversight and management of the budgeting process, business plan projections and the provision of ongoing management information. You will also be responsible for presenting the company results at monthly board meetings, managing the annual budget offsite and updating investors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage finance team (2 staff currently).
* Financial leadership of the company.
* Setup and manage invoicing and financial contract arrangements with clients and purchasers.
* Setup and oversee all finance and reporting associated with EU subsidiary.
* Engage and liaise with external auditors.
* Create and manage company forecasts and budgets.
* Ownership of financial business model.
* Monthly board presentation and provision of financial reports.
* Compliance with all external reporting requirements (VAT, tax, audit etc.).
* Oversee and implement financial controls and processes across the group.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
* Educational Background: First degree and fully qualified (ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA).
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience and held a senior finance position in a commercial company.
* Commercial Acumen: Expected to quickly acquire knowledge necessary to properly implement VAT and Tour Operator’s Margin Scheme (TOMS) for the company.
* Industry Knowledge: Technology startup experience desirable, including handling funding rounds would be desirable.
