This role is ideal for someone who has worked within a health and safety role in a manufacturing/food production team and is now ready develop and progress into a role with ample opportunities for career development. This is a hands-on role where you’ll spend time engaging with the production team and ensuring a culture of safety around the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide guidance, assistance, and challenge on EHS matters as needed.
* Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and lead HSE audits.
* Develop a culture of safety engagement and communicate successes across the business.
* Oversee COSHH manual management and submission of data for compliance.
* Conduct EHS inspections and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Assist in accident investigations and provide recommendations for prevention.
* Review and align policies, procedures, and documentation with management systems.
* Maintain records related to EHS, including ISO 14001 standards.
* Collaborate with the Health & Safety Network to ensure compliance with company policy.
* Develop and deliver EHS training programs.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, or related field.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment; FMCG/Food.
* Knowledge of EHS law and best practice.
* A recognised H&S qualification; NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.
* Experience with ISO 14001 and other relevant standards.
* Waste Management expertise.
* Strong training identification and delivery skills.
The Role

As such, we are looking for a Health, Safety, and Environment Advisor to engage with all areas of the business and promote technical and cultural safety processes. You will have support from the wider business on the implementation of various policies and procedures and will be given excellent opportunities for your own development and progression alongside the business.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment, in line with legal and EHS requirements, whilst maintaining a culture of safety across the facility. You will partner with all site teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
