A company specialising in the manufacture of refrigeration equipment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to be responsible for carrying out maintenance, service, and technical troubleshooting of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. The Field Service Engineer should have experience as a Service Engineer or completed an apprenticeship in a relevant engineering field. In addition, the Field Service Engineer will have C&G F-Gas 2079 and possess good practical experience in mechanical and electrical aspects of refrigeration and air conditioning.

Key Responsibilities:
* Service, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of refrigerating, air conditioning, and process plant.
* Liaise with customers to ensure work is being carried out to their satisfaction and to identify future potential business.
* Provide detailed technical reports on work carried out or further work necessary to restore plant to optimum operating efficiency; correctly complete work reports/timesheets to enable invoices to be submitted with minimum delay; maintain regular contact with the service centre.
* Carry out on-site equipment installation to acceptable standards and commission completed plants.
* Conduct on-site electrical and mechanical diagnostic checks.
* Provide on-site supervision as necessary of service engineers and apprentices.
* Conduct on-site apprentice training.
* Ensure that the Company’s technical and safety standards are maintained in accordance with Health & Safety Practices as outlined in the Company Health and Safety procedures and make recommendations for improvements as necessary.
* Adhere to the company policy of quality service standards.
* Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications Required:
* Experience as a Service Engineer or a completed apprenticeship.
* C&G F-Gas 2079.
* Practical experience with all aspects of refrigeration and air conditioning, both mechanical and electrical.
* Health and safety in the workplace awareness, including safe handling of refrigerants, including ammonia and hydrocarbons.
* Flexibility to work overtime and be on call out rota.
Salary: £38,000 to £45,000 DOE
