An established and successful company in Poole is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their busy and friendly team. In this role, you'll be a valued team member interfacing with sales, service desk, and stock control departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit control management - monitoring customer accounts, chasing overdue payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining positive client relationships
2. Purchase ledger processing - logging and processing supplier invoices, preparing payment runs, and reconciling supplier statements
3. Daily invoicing and banking - generating customer invoices, recording payments, preparing bank deposits, and maintaining accurate financial records
4. General accounts administration - filing important documents, responding to account queries, assisting with month-end procedures, and supporting the wider finance team as needed
5. Liaising between departments to ensure accurate financial information flows across the business
What You'll Need:
1. GCSE or equivalent qualifications (required)
2. Previous accounts experience (required)
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
4. Sage 200 experience helpful but not essential; full training provided
5. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
6. Positive "can do" attitude with ability to build and maintain relationships
